Personal Information of Russian Intelligence Officers Sold for 10,000 Rubles


Yekaterinburg website Znak.com revealed that a database containing personal information of Russia Intelligence officers have been put on sale. Znak.com cited a report published on The Insider news website.

The Insider correspondent Sergei Kanev purchased the database at the Mitinsky electronic market in northwestern Moscow for 10,000 rubles.

The seller told him that the information come from the police.

The people in the database are clients and debtors of major Russian banks, whose names, addresses, telephone numbers and even workplaces are revealed.

Almost 1500 people are said to work for the Federal Security Service (FSB), with some even mentioning their positions.

Among the Federal Security Service (FSB) units featured are the secretive Operational Search Department and Centre of Information Security, which deals with crimes in the sphere of e-commerce and unathorized data dissemination.

In addition, there are reportedly 90 employees of the Federal Protection Service (FSO) in that database.
